Supermodel Cindy Crawford recently shared a heartbreaking update on Instagram that her beloved dog Widget has passed away. Widget had been a part of the family for 17 years and was deeply loved. This sad news comes after the loss of her other dog, Sugar.
In her post, Cindy opened up about how she used to be afraid of dogs because she was bitten twice as a child. But after having her children, Presley and Kaia Gerber, she decided to face her fear. She didn’t want her kids to grow up scared of dogs, so the family got two small, friendly pups “Widget and Sugar”.
Cindy shared how much joy the dogs brought into their lives. She loved watching her children play with them, dress them up, and cuddle with them on the couch. Even as her children and the dogs grew older, Widget and Sugar remained a joyful and comforting presence in the home.
Cindy wrote, “We had to say goodbye to our little girl Widget yesterday. She was a puppy for 17 years and we will miss her. Hopefully she is eating endless snacks with her ‘sister’ Sugar somewhere in doggy heaven.”
Cindy’s daughter, Kaia Gerber, now has a rescue dog named Milo. She is known for her love of animals and for fostering dogs.
