Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, have reportedly raised nearly $59,000 to help dogs displaced by the Los Angeles wildfires, following claims that Brooklyn’s mother, Victoria Beckham, declined to support their charity efforts.
The update comes shortly after Brooklyn shared an emotional Instagram statement about his strained relationship with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham. Brooklyn said the only time he and Nicola asked his parents for help was during the LA fires, when Nicola sought support to rescue displaced dogs. He says this request was refused.
According to reports, Nicola raised the funds independently through her charity, Yogi’s House, which rescues dogs from overcrowded shelters and prevents euthanasia. A GoFundMe campaign linked to the effort raised $59,444, helping relocate animals from fire-affected areas into safe foster homes.
The wildfires that struck Los Angeles in January 2025 claimed 31 lives, forced over 200,000 people to evacuate, and destroyed more than 18,000 structures. While many organisations focused on human relief, Nicola concentrated on animals left behind, organising fundraising events and sharing updates on social media.
Despite being the son of one of the world’s most famous couples and Nicola being the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, reports claim that Brooklyn personally donated $5,000 to the cause. The couple also shared photos and live updates from a fundraising event at the Pendry Hotel in West Hollywood, where brands donated supplies for those affected by the fires.
Victoria Beckham had previously posted about the wildfires on Instagram, calling the situation “heartbreaking” and expressing gratitude to firefighters and first responders. David Beckham also shared messages of support and urged people to help organisations working on the ground.
Brooklyn’s recent statement, however, suggests that tensions within the family run much deeper. He accused his parents of prioritising public image over personal relationships and said he has no intention of reconciling at this time. He claimed that stepping away from his family has brought him peace after years of anxiety.
He also repeated earlier allegations, including claims that Victoria backed out of designing Nicola’s wedding dress at the last moment and interfered during their wedding celebrations — incidents that, according to Brooklyn, caused lasting embarrassment and emotional strain.
The Beckham family has not officially responded to the latest claims. Sources close to them have previously said that David and Victoria want to repair the relationship and have asked Brooklyn and Nicola to talk, but reconciliation appears uncertain for now.
As public attention continues to focus on the family rift, Brooklyn and Nicola’s fundraising efforts for displaced animals have drawn support and praise, highlighting their commitment to animal welfare even amid personal turmoil.
