In this exclusive interview, Brazilian dog mom, nurse and digital creator Natália Borges opens up about life with her three beloved Pomeranians—Amora, Love and Flor—her passion for animal welfare and how she uses social media to inspire responsible pet care.
Hello Natália, welcome to Dogopo! thank you for taking the time to chat with us today! For readers meeting you for the first time, could you briefly introduce yourself?
Hello! First, I want to thank you for the opportunity to share our story. I’m Natália Borges, a Brazilian mother and nurse, and caregiving has always been my calling. I’m passionate about my pets and my family. I also create digital content in the pet niche and love sharing the daily lives of my three Pomeranians: Amora, Love, and Flor. Through our profile, I aim to inspire other families to strengthen their bond with their animals and contribute to animal causes, whether through adoption, fundraising, or donations. Every moment with them is a joy and a learning experience that I love sharing with everyone who follows us.
What first inspired you to start creating content around your dogs Amora, Love, and Flor?
It was during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Amora arrived, that I decided to create an Instagram account to capture every special moment we shared. What started as a personal memory journal quickly became a space to share the joy, love, and lightness these little ones bring into our lives. Over time, I realized that through our profile, I could inspire other families to care for their pets with love and attention.

Each of your pups has a unique name and personality. Can you introduce them a little more to our readers?
Each of my girls has a unique personality that delights me every day. Amora, who turns 5 in December, was the first to arrive and has become my biggest inspiration. Through her, I dove into the world of pet care, taking courses and learning everything about grooming and health. Always well-behaved, she has a striking and expressive personality—her lush fur and photos, whether smiling, making a silly face, or simply showing her desires—charm and amuse our followers. And she absolutely loves walks on the beach!
Love, 3, truly lives up to her name. She’s always smiling, gets along wonderfully with her sisters, and adores food. She has a genetic condition called alopecia, which affects her health and appearance, yet she faces life with joy and strength, teaching me every day how to face challenges with optimism and love.
Flor, our youngest at 1 year old, is joy in pet form. Playful, affectionate, and full of energy, she is Love’s best friend. She adores walks, playtime, and spending fun moments with our family. Together, the three make our daily life lighter, more fun, and filled with love, each teaching something unique about happiness, resilience, and affection.
You describe yourself as a “creator with purpose.” How do you weave animal-welfare values into your digital content?
I believe in using the internet as a tool for good—giving a voice to animal causes and spreading care to more families and pets. In my content, I aim to showcase my girls’ routines in an educational and inspiring way, sharing tips on health, nutrition, well-being, and behavior. We run fundraising campaigns and donation drives, and encourage responsible adoption, showing that every gesture, no matter how small, makes a big difference in the lives of pets in need. Volunteering is a key part of this purpose, allowing us to turn our passion for animals into real actions that positively impact other families and their pets.

What has been the most heartwarming moment you’ve experienced while volunteering for the animal cause?
We recently reached the milestone of donating 1 ton of food to NGOs that care for rescued animals. This achievement was made possible thanks to the support of our incredible network of followers, partners, and the campaigns run through our profile. Beyond the numbers, this moment inspires us and shows that when we unite out of love for animals, we can transform lives and provide care for many pets in need.
Many readers dream of starting pet-focused social pages. What advice would you give them for growing a community responsibly?
My advice is to be clear about the purpose of the page. Creating content about animals comes with responsibility, both toward the pets and the families who follow the page. Sharing accurate, reliable information about care, health, and well-being is essential. Brands are increasingly prioritizing animal welfare, and the public has become more conscious and discerning—they value products and services that reflect care, respect, and responsibility for animals. Being authentic and purposeful builds a meaningful community that can have a real, positive impact.
What are some everyday tips you follow to keep Amora, Love, and Flor healthy and happy?
To keep Amora, Love, and Flor healthy and happy, we follow daily practices that respect each one’s individuality. Health care is a priority, including nutrition, hygiene, vaccinations, and regular check-ups. We also focus on mental stimulation and environmental enrichment through games, walks, and activities that spark curiosity and joy. And, of course, the main ingredient in everything we do is love: each moment of affection, attention, and presence strengthens their physical and emotional well-being.

Have you noticed a change in how brands or audiences view responsible pet ownership since you began?
Absolutely. Brands are increasingly prioritizing animal welfare, offering products and services that truly care for pets. Audiences have also become more conscious and demanding—they look for brands that embody principles of care, respect, and responsibility for animals. This shift is inspiring, showing that both the market and society are moving toward a more conscious, loving, and responsible approach to pet care.
If you could change one thing about how society treats animals in Brazil, what would it be?
If I could improve how society treats animals in Brazil, I would focus on eliminating abandonment, strengthening protection against abuse, and expanding access to healthcare and veterinary services. This way, all pets could enjoy a dignified, healthy, and loving life.
What’s next for you and the trio—new projects, campaigns, or goals for the coming year?
Next year, we have many special plans! We aim to continue inspiring families to care for their pets and run new fundraising and donation campaigns for NGOs supporting rescued animals. We’re also planning new content projects to showcase even more of Amora, Love, and Flor’s routines, playtime, and everyday lives—always filled with love, fun, and learning. Our goal is to keep spreading joy, awareness, and care, helping other pets and their families live happier, more fulfilling lives.
