Prime Video just released the trailer for its new holiday romantic comedy, Merv, and dog lovers are already excited. The film stars Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox, but the real star is their dog, Merv, who struggles when his humans break up.
In Merv, Anna (Deschanel) and Russ (Cox) have ended their relationship, but their dog doesn’t realize it yet. Merv becomes sad after the split, showing that when people break up, dogs often feel it the most.
To help Merv feel better, Russ takes him on a Christmas trip to Florida. Just as things begin to improve, Anna shows up unexpectedly, and the exes have to reconnect while putting Merv’s happiness first. After all, when a dog wants two people back together, how long can they hold out?
