Rasha Thadani Stops to Feed Indie Strays, and It’s the Kindness We Love to See

Sometimes, the smallest gestures can say the most. Actress Rasha Thadani recently shared a beautiful moment on Instagram, where she was seen feeding biscuits to an Indie puppy and his mother. This simple interaction shows that kindness doesn’t always need a grand occasion. Sometimes, it is simply stopping for a few minutes and sharing what you have.

And honestly, this is exactly the kind of moment we at Dogopo love to see.

What makes Rasha’s interaction with the dogs so touching is that she didn’t just walk past them; she stopped, sat down beside them, and carefully gave them some food. The photos show the dogs approaching her comfortably as she pays them attention and shows them care.

It’s quite special to see people displaying affection towards our Indie dogs. They can be found all around us — in our neighbourhoods, outside shops, near parks and along our streets — even though they are frequently ignored.

A biscuit may seem like a very small thing to us, but for a hungry street dog, it can mean a lot.

What is more, such situations contribute to the development of a kinder culture; if children and young people observe public figures showing affection and respect towards animals, they may then begin to regard street animals in a different light.

We have always held at Dogopo that Indo dogs are worthy of love, care and respect just as all other dogs are. Even though they might not have a pedigree certificate or live in a nice house, they are just as capable of loving, trusting, playing and forming beautiful relationships with people.

Rasha’s actions teach us that helping animals doesn’t always take much effort. For instance, you can provide clean drinking water on a hot day, give them suitable food, help an injured dog get medical care, support a local animal rescuer, or simply show a street dog patience rather than fear.

At times you might simply halt and say hello.

It’s also very pleasing to note that this spirit of compassion is something that has been part of Rasha’s upbringing, since her mother, Raveena Tandon, is known for her fondness of animals and this therefore seems especially significant to people who keep up with their family.

We at Dogopo really enjoy seeing people use their platform to show kindness to animals, and when that kindness is directed toward our own Indie dogs, we can’t help but share it.

Feed when you can. Help when you can. Adopt when you can. And most importantly, be kind. Because our Indies may live on the streets, but they deserve to know that they are not invisible.
