Sometimes, the most powerful rescue stories do not begin in shelters; they begin on the street, in a moment when someone chooses to stop and care. Arjun’s story started exactly like that.
In Borivali, Mumbai, Rajvi from Pawsome Life Foundation was riding her scooter when she saw something that still feels unreal. An auto rickshaw slowed down, and a small dog was thrown onto the road. Because of his tiny size, Arjun, a dwarf indie dog, looked like a puppy to her. But as he ran in panic, it became clear he was not a stray who knew the streets. He was confused, frightened, and desperately looking for safety.
Rajvi chased him for nearly 40 minutes before she finally caught up to him. When she did, the truth came out. Arjun was suffering from a severe mange skin infection. His fur was patchy, his skin raw and sore. Yet, there were signs he had once been loved. His nails were trimmed. A black thread was tied around his neck. This was not a street dog. This was a home dog who had been abandoned because he fell sick.
Today, Arjun is a completely different dog.
Thanks to timely treatment and care, his skin has healed, his fur has grown back, and his bright personality has come alive. He is estimated to be under one year old and still in his teething phase, which means he is playful, curious, and learning about the world like any young dog should.

What makes Arjun special is not just his survival, it is who he is. He is a small-sized, dwarf indie dog, which means he will always stay compact and easy to manage. For anyone who wants a smaller dog without supporting breeders, Arjun is the perfect fit. He has the charm of a puppy, the resilience of a survivor, and the loyalty of a dog who knows what it means to be left behind and found again.
Arjun is happiest with humans and smaller dogs. Because of his past and size, he does not do well with large dogs. Rajvi has a senior German Shepherd at home, and while she has done everything possible, Arjun feels overwhelmed around bigger dogs. What he truly needs is a home where he feels safe, seen, and protected.
This is not just an adoption. This is a chance to give a once-abandoned dog the life he always deserved.
Arjun is vaccinated, recovering beautifully, and emotionally ready to bond with his own family. He loves attention, enjoys human company, and brings a soft, joyful energy into every room he enters. The same dog who was once thrown out of a moving vehicle now greets people with a wagging tail and hopeful eyes.
If you have ever thought about adopting, let Arjun be your reason.
